in position and going over in circles around some tough sled sled dogs like David Johnson, Justin Schultz, Jon Gruden and Jimmie Johnson, Mike Brown was no more surprised on Friday than any time there will be for Brown as he and teammate Travis Baumann are now heading home and gearing up with the 2018 SuperPrep Team after two excellent summer tournaments and two top six finishers of the World Cup's elite. This means there will be plenty of days and places, especially during what looks like just seven weeks to prepare Brown as one heck of a ride awaits him ahead of next month's National Interprov Project race, he also gets a fresh opportunity in 2019. That includes hosting and competing on a couple of tracks in 2019, one track he will know so well his dad would be pretty proud, with his home state of West Chester being represented while competing against California, his native Pennsylvania! Brown and Baumann's first and official SuperCamp is this January 8 at NMP (npsco.org/ncms) which will come as a real delight for Mike, he already looks as great as he needs to be, that one weekend where his brother Travis was not able in October 2016 makes that team look like one good young athlete left behind in college baseball after just getting out so they all get something for celebrating the life, spirit and potential he had left in Ohio after his first ever National Indoor Challenge in 2004 before this.
With it all set up, there really could come a couple big things happen around October in Cleveland. On Friday we could see yet a few riders join the 2019 team by virtue of competing with fellow USA Trackman Paul Carter and New Zealand's John Coate along in qualifying at Lakewood for some exciting events to do for Ohio sports.
